AI SALES INSIGHT

Every account, one glance: AI insight for a sales team on the road

We connected Renaissance Products' sales, CRM, training and calendar data into one AI-built dashboard. Every week it tells each sales rep which accounts need them, and why.

The challenge

Renaissance's sales reps spend their days on the road with professional skincare customers. Before each call or visit, they wanted a quick way to see what that customer needed: whether they were due to reorder, which offer suited them, or whether their team was due training. The information existed, but it was spread across several systems.

WHERE THINGS STOOD
01Sales history in the reporting system
02Account details in Zoho CRM
03Training records in a separate platform
04Visits in each rep's calendar
05Offers and rewards rules in spreadsheets
What we did

We led the engagement end to end, working closely with Renaissance's sales and leadership team, and proved the idea on real data first.

The approach

01
Scope around decisions, not data
The dashboard was framed around three questions for every rep: who needs to order, who needs a visit, and who is due training.
02
Audit what exists
We reviewed around 60 exports and reference files and mapped every gap against the scope, so the client knew exactly what was missing and why it mattered.
03
Agree the rules with the business
Product categories, rewards rules, and training and sample policies were all agreed, so the logic reflects how Renaissance actually sells.
04
Prove it with one pilot rep
Three years of trading history, calendar and training data for one rep's two books of business, tested against her own knowledge of her accounts.
05
Iterate fast
More than 30 versions in under three weeks. When the first version felt too busy, it was simplified so every row ends in a clear action.
06
Reconcile to the source
Sales figures were checked against the source system and matched to the euro before anything was presented.
02

What we built

A weekly priority dashboard for each rep. Every account gets a score from 0 to 100, the reasons behind it and one suggested action, so a rep never sees a bare number.

To do this weeksample data
Account 0186
→ Chase usual October order
Account 0271
→ Book a review
Account 0358
→ Check in about reordering
Account 0434
→ Training due
01
To do this week
Accounts ranked by priority, each with an action such as "chase their usual October order" or "book a review of the account".
02
Insight on every account, one click away
Last order, usual ordering rhythm and whether the account is overdue
How the account is trending over time
Brand mix, and which brands the account stocks for retail
Favourite products and a likely next order
Rewards progress and samples
The current offer that suits the customer
Last visit, next booked visit, and whether training is due
03
Built for the road
One dashboard per rep with a switch between books of business, filters, sorting, search and a layout that works on a phone. This week's calendar entries link straight to the account.
04
Built for adoption
A presenter mode walks managers through each section with talking points, so the dashboard is introduced to the team consistently.
How it fits together

Five systems feed one AI layer, which joins everything by account and turns it into a short list of actions for each rep.

“We have never been in a situation where we'd be able to say, in one glance, you can see pretty much everything.”

“Having that as a quick look before you go in is amazing.”
Renaissance Products, on the brand view
“Our reps now walk into every customer knowing what that business needs: when they usually reorder, the offer that suits them and whether their team is due training. Dave pulled five systems into one clear view to make that possible.”

Results so far

In under three weeks Renaissance went from a scoping document to a working dashboard on its own data, reviewed by the leadership team.

One view of every account
Sales, CRM, training and visits seen together for the first time.
Clear weekly priorities
Each rep's accounts ranked, with the reason and the next action on every row.
Trusted numbers
Sales figures reconciled to the source to the euro, using three years of history.
Built with the people who use it
The pilot rep's feedback shaped the brand view and the layout.
What comes next

The proposed next stage closes the loop, so the dashboard decides and Zoho tracks.

Automated weekly refresh
Scheduled exports from the sales system and live connections to Zoho CRM and Microsoft 365, updating every Monday without anyone running reports.
Every rep, their own page
Each rep sees only their own accounts, with a summary view for management.
Closing the loop in Zoho
Each suggested action becomes a Zoho CRM task, and completed tasks drop off the list.
Beyond the dashboard
Call and visit preparation, with the three things to raise with each account.
